read a review of Robert's novel.

Jan. 1942-Sept. 1945
I know you guys
Have all got friends
Who send you cards
And such.
They lend a festive,
Kind touch
To winters droll
And frosty days
That greet us with the dawn.
We all look forward to the day
We remember as a tot
The way we sought
To be real good
But usually were not.
We weren’t sure
That Santa was
A really real guy
Or someone with
A phony beard
That laughed
And acted really weird.
Of course those days
Are long gone
But we have kids
To carry on
The wishes made
By little ones
And sent to Santa
Via mail
Both by “E”
And by snail.
So greetings to you
One and all
Let’s be of good cheer
Celebrate the Season
And
A Happy New Year!
