Blessed Corps
by Cpl. Robert Lin Cook
Jan 1942–Sep 1945

I have glorified our Corps
from today to days of yore,
from the Tavern Tun
where it all begun I have
covered it with praise
all its blessed days
and left no stone
unturned.

From Halls of Montezuma
to shores of Tripoli,
the Corps was resplendent
and never ceased to be.
It has never yet surrendered
nor yet defeated be,
they faced the foe
undaunted in
victory they see.

So glory in its presence,
happy to be a part of
a band of brothers
who served with
gallant heart.
